Let the Kids Speak
The Online Conference afforded me the opportunity to go back to Te Awamutu Intermediate School and interview two group of year 7 & 8 students. I was once again amazed at how articulate these students were without any prompting, to express their thoughts on what the online environment does for their learning. They have a clear message for all teachers, so I’ll let them speak for themselves:
Well done! Let’s hope everyone is listening.

Thanks Jill, I enjoyed listening to these.
Great for me to hear children from the other end of the age spectrum talking about similar things.
Cheers, Rachel, Nelson
Hi Rachel, Thanks so much for stopping by and letting us know that. The students themselves will be enjoying the response to their message. I have really appreciated all your input into the conference too. We’ve pulled it all together but the meaty stuff is all you teachers doing great things in classrooms and being so willing to share with everyone.
Hi Jill and Students,
I have found your videos very enlightening – I teach Year 2 children and have just gotten them into blogs in the last term. They are loving it and it is great to hear students articulating their thoughts on why they enjoy online learning and using ICT in the classroom. Well done!
